• Sleep apnea (mild, moderate or severe)
• Head/Jaw/TMJ aches
• Orthodontic relapse (teeth that move back after braces)
• Mouth breathing
• Thumb sucking
• Overjet/bite (upper teeth that protrude out or over your bottom teeth)
• Open bite (teeth that do not touch when you bite down)

Registered Dental Hygienist
As Monastery Oral Health’s senior Dental Hygienist, Patty has been practicing for over 35 years, a great testament to her passion for her profession! Patty is a people person, able to soothe the nerves of all her patients with an engaging manner and an experienced gentle touch. She is also passionate about educating her clients on the oral-systemic link, how you can improve your overall health outcomes through good oral health practices.
Patty is all about giving back to her community, volunteering her services at the not-for-profit dental health clinic at the Gathering Place. Patty is also the current President of the Newfoundland and Labrador Dental Hygienists Association (NLHDA), is a Director of the Newfoundland and Labrador College of Dental Hygienists (NLCDH) and represents the College at the Newfoundland and Labrador Council of Health Professionals (NLCHP). Patty has also been recently published in her national associations OH Canada magazine.
registered dental hygienist
Tiffany is a 12 year veteran in the field of Dental Hygiene, having graduated from Dalhousie University in 2008 with multiple recognitions for academic, clinical, and laboratory work. Tiffany focuses her continued competencies in the areas of sleep, airway, behavioral modification and mindset. Tiffany is passionate about promoting optimal health and disease prevention after working her entire career with individuals suffering from gum disease.
Tiffany takes a total health approach to oral care and can help you find the right therapy and professionals for your (often unknown) needs. Tiffany is the NL elected representative on the Canadian Dental Hygienists Associations board of directors, where she is currently holding a position of president-elect. She is also still active in her provincial association after serving as president from 2015-2017.
Tiffany is currently on maternity leave with her first child, but is excited to return to work early (in August) in order to help care for the population of NL during this unprecedented time. She is doing this because “Dental hygiene IS an essential service” as it is linked with contributing to many chronic diseases, and she doesn’t want to see you fall under the radar as you wait for next appointment.
