who is not a candidate for cosmetic teeth whitening?
This treatment cannot be used by pregnant or lactating women, anyone under the age of 14 years old, people with gum disease, open cavitities, leaking fillings or those with a known allergy to peroxide or aloe vera.
As well, people who have had braces removed should wait 6 months for the cement residue to wear off before getting their teeth whitened or those with a piercing or other metal objects in the oral cavity should remove them before the treatment as they may turn black.
how white will my teeth become after the whitening process?
Individual results vary. Individuals with artificial teeth, caps, crowns, porcelain veneers etc should expect their dental work to whiten to the original color or shade. Also, most natural teeth will never be whiter than what their genes will naturally allow.
